Carolina Trees & Forests Journal (The State Newspaper)
|
Your Forests "My forest?", you ask. "I don't have any forest land." But you do. Absolutely. If you are a citizen of one of the states below, you have an ownership interest in all of the lands managed by the state, as well as the federal lands across the country. You are encouraged to find out as much about the management of your forest as you would if it were your own family farm. Take time to talk to the employees who work for you on your lands - foresters, park rangers, wildlife biologists and others. Let them know you care about the work they do, and how they take care of your forests, and if you appreciate the work they are doing, let them know that, too. But also let them know if you'd like to see something changed in the way work is done on your forest.
